Soap Making

Learn to use a variety of methods and ingredients to make your own natural glycerin soaps

Our hands-on workshop covers both the hot and cold processes for making all-natural glycerin soap. First, we guide you though the steps to make your own small batch of traditional cooked soap beginning with rendering fresh beef fat into pure tallow, then mixing, cooking and scenting your batch. Next we teach you the cold method of soap making as you mix a batch of creamy goat's milk soap. You will learn how and when to add other natural ingredients such as oatmeal and herbs to your basic soap recipes. We will also show you how to cut, smooth and wrap bars. At the end of the class, you will take your handmade soap home in a small wooden mold.
