A hands-on workshop covering the basics of raising your
own plants from seeds. Workshop topics include potting soils, potting containers,
timing of germination, care of seedlings and transplanting. We also explain
the benefits of using various structures designed for seed starting such
as greenhouses, cold frames, hot beds and cloches.
This class will involve some outdoor activities. Please
bring a wide-brimmed hat and wear long sleeves. Also, bring appropriate
clothing for cold or inclement weather. No shorts or sandals, please.
