Quilting for Beginners

An introduction to quilting by hand

This hands-on quilting workshop offers beginners a basic introduction to quilting. Each student will prepare and assemble a pieced, quilted block. We teach you the basics of four-patch and triangular piecing as you sew the top of a quilt square by machine. (You may bring your own portable sewing machine if you prefer.) Then, following step-by-step instructions, each student will learn to assemble the block and quilt it by hand.
