Beekeeping—An Introduction

In this beginning workshop you learn how to start a new hive and how to maintain the hive to produce a harvest of honey. Our instructors discuss the various types of bees and beehives, as well as site location, patterns of safety and the equipment you need to get started.

This class will involve some outdoor activities. Please bring a wide-brimmed hat and wear long sleeves. Also, bring appropriate clothing for cold or inclement weather. No shorts or sandals, please.
