Step-by-step instruction for the beginning seamstress

During this one-day workshop, each student will make a child’s jumper. You will learn how to follow a pattern, including laying out and pinning patterns and how to cut fabric to a pattern. You will also learn how to line the bodice, pleat the skirt, finish seams, stitch buttonholes, securely attach buttons and hem the finished garment. If you prefer, you may bring your own portable sewing machine.
